First off, thank you so much for even considering traveling to get tattooed! Tattooing is already such an honor in itself so when clients travel it means the world & I want to make sure that they feel like they got the most out of the trip!

I know traveling can sometimes be stressful but being prepared and knowing what to anticipate helps! This guide will help you prepare for your trip and ensure you have the best possible tattoo experience.

Arrival & Settling In

  • Booking Your Trip: I recommend arriving at least a day before your appointment, especially if you're traveling a long distance or across time zones. This gives you time to rest, settle into your accommodation, and shake off any travel fatigue. Getting a good night's sleep before your tattoo is crucial for both your comfort and the tattooing process!

  • Transportation: Research local transportation options from the airport to your accommodation and to our studio. Consider ride-sharing services, ubers, or public transport.

  • If you’re staying in Colorado for multiple days, I would highly recommend renting a car.

  • Accommodation: Look for comfortable and convenient lodging that suits your budget. Staying somewhere with good amenities will make your recovery more pleasant. Some things to consider:

    • Proximity to the studio: The closer, the better, especially after a long session.

    • Comfortable bed: You'll appreciate a good night's sleep before & after your tattoo.

    • Kitchenette (optional but helpful)

What to Bring & Pack

Planning your packing list & bringing things ahead of time helps a lot and allows you to relax once you arrive at your destination.

  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area we'll be tattooing. Darker colors are often a good idea in case any ink smudges.

  • For hips/sternums/back/chest pieces: A lightweight robe or zip up jacket is a great piece of clothing to bring that allows for easy access & makes it easy getting dressed during breaks.

  • For hips: A bikini bottom that can be untied on the sides is ideal.

  • For sleeves: A strappy tank top that can be easily moved around is ideal.

  • For backs: A top that is open in the front that you can put on backwards is ideal.

  • Pasties & disposable thongs will be provided at the shop if necessary.

  • Layers: Studio temperatures can vary, so bring layers to stay comfortable throughout your session.

  • Entertainment: Tattoo sessions can be long! Bring headphones, a book, your tablet, or anything else that will keep you entertained and distract you.

  • Snacks and Drinks: Bring plenty of snacks and a water bottle. Staying hydrated and keeping your blood sugar up is essential for a good tattoo experience. We'll have some water available, but personal preferences are always best!

  • Identification: Don't forget your valid ID – we'll need it for your consent forms.

  • Payment: Make sure you have your preferred payment method ready. Discuss payment options and deposit policies with me beforehand if you're unsure.

Aftercare Essentials

Proper aftercare is vital for your tattoo to heal beautifully. We'll provide detailed instructions after your session, but here’s what you might want to pack:

  • Antibacterial Unscented Soap

  • white Unscented Moisturizer or Aquaphor

  • Paper Towels: You'll want clean paper towels for your tattoo. I would not recommend using any hotel/air bnb towels that you may be provided on your fresh tattoo.

  • Clean Loose-fitting Clothing (Post-Tattoo): Continue wearing loose clothing that won't rub or irritate your fresh tattoo.

Tattooing Multiple Days in a Row

For larger projects, you might be scheduled for multiple tattoo sessions on consecutive days. Here's what to expect and how to prepare:

  • Rest is Key: This is even more important when getting tattooed over multiple days. Get plenty of sleep, stay hydrated, and eat nutritious meals.

  • Listen to Your Body: Healing between sessions can be intense. Don't hesitate to communicate with me if you're feeling particularly sore or tired. We can adjust the pace if needed.

  • Aftercare, Aftercare, Aftercare! Diligently follow all aftercare instructions. This will help your body recover and prepare for the next session.

  • Comfort During Sessions: Bring extra comfort items for multi-day sessions, like a small pillow or blanket if you tend to get chilly.

I want your tattoo journey to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. If you have any questions at all about your trip or your tattoo, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Can't wait to see you!
